Magill's Medical Guide

MAGILL’S MEDICAL GUIDE Published by Salem Press, 2008

This excellent source is a boon for health professionals, students and any user with a health/medical question. Available online and in print, it includes more than 1,000 signed articles, with the major articles having 3,000-5,000 words. Illustrations and photographs enhance the text, such as the “Major Bones of the Human Skeleton” or “The Organs and Structure of the Chest.” Search by keyword, subject heading, major anatomy/system affected, specialties and related fields, symptoms and warning signs, diseases and conditions, and more.

Good design for easy navigation, including a left–hand side bar showing the table of contents, key terms and definitions, related terms for each article, and selected sources for further study citation.

Magill’s Medical Guide would be a good source to add to ANGEL Course Resources:
  • To add to ANGEL: Open the Course page where you want to add Magill’s
  • Click on the Resources tab
  • Click on “Edit” in the Course Resources box
  • Next, click on “add a link’
  • Paste the following web address and click “save”
