Axe Library shifts into OverDrive !!

The Library is pleased to announce it's participation in a new audio book and music service called OverDrive, a collaborative project currently made up of 56 Kansas libraries and sponsored by the State Library of Kansas.

Using Gus identification (Kansas residents have access to the service using their Kansas Library Card), you may set up an account in OverDrive and check out items from a selection of thousands of titles in areas of Fiction (General, Juvenile, Mysteries, and Romance) and Non-Fiction titles like Biographies, Foreign Language Studies, and Self Improvement.

Music selections include "classical", instrumental, and vocal music, including blues, New Age and music from other countries. Listen to Beethoven's 5th, Scott Joplin rags, or "A few things to hear before we all blow up".

Up to 10 titles are made available for 14 days, then automatically checked back in (no overdues!).

The majority of book and audio titles may be downloaded to your computer or MP3 player (sorry, not iPod), and a few may be burned to CD. OverDrive software must be installed on your computer to use this service, so check the Help screens if you have any questions.
